About Solventum's Dental Plan

Delta Dental of Minnesota is the claims administrator for Solventum’s dental plan and provides access to the Delta Dental PPO℠ (formerly DeltaPreferred Option) and Delta Dental Premier® network of dentists. Solventum’s dental plan is a “silent” Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), which provides discounts for services. With a “silent” PPO, you can visit any dentist inside or outside the network and receive the same benefit level from the plan. However, visiting a dentist in the Delta Dental PPO℠ or Delta Dental Premier® network may save you money. In-network dentists agree to charge competitive, discounted rates. If you are an active Solventum employee, find details about what is covered under the Solventum Dental Plan by visiting My Solventum or the Solventum Benefits Center.

FAQ

  1. Can I continue to visit my current dentist?
Yes. Under Solventum's dental plan, you can visit any dentist, even if they are not in the Delta Dental network. However, visiting a dentist in the Delta Dental PPO℠ or Delta Dental Premier® network may save you money.

  2. What is a “silent” PPO?
A Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) is a network that provides discounts for services. Our dental plan is a “silent” PPO, which means you can still visit any dentist. The kinds of services covered under the plan and percentage the plan pays for covered services are the same whether you see an in-network or out-of-network dentist. However, you may want to consider using a dentist in Delta Dental's network, because you and Solventum may save money.

  3. How much will I pay if I go to an in-network or out-of-network dentist?
Refer to the Solventum Dental Plan Summary Plan Description (SPD) for more detail on the different cost calculations when using an in-network or out-of-network dentist.

  4. Where can active employees find the Solventum Dental Plan Summary Plan Description (SPD)?
Active employees can access the My Solventum > Life & Career > Pay, Benefits & Retirement > Health Benefits > Dental Benefits

If you need a copy of the Solventum Dental Plan Summary Plan Description, please contact Solventum Benefits Center at:
