Delta Dental of Minnesota Encourages Reflection and Learning on Juneteenth

MINNEAPOLIS (June 16th, 2022) – As Delta Dental of Minnesota continues its focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, the company will celebrate Juneteenth for the third year in a row as a company day of remembrance. The goal is to allow team members to learn more about the history and importance of Juneteenth through reading, reflection, and in-depth conversations.

Juneteenth is now a federal holiday. On June 19, the nation recognizes the day in 1865 when federal orders to free all enslaved people were pronounced in Texas, the last state with institutionalized slavery in the country. Recognizing Juneteenth is part of our commitment to make a difference and take action. Together We Can!
