Delta Dental of Minnesota celebrates grand opening of new operations and technology center in Bemidji
BEMIDJI, Minn. – More than 100 new employees, partners, community leaders and Delta Dental of Minnesota representatives gathered on Monday to celebrate the grand opening of Delta Dental of Minnesota’s new state-of-the-art operations and technology center in Bemidji. Festivities included a “floss-cutting” ceremony to commemorate Delta Dental’s new location, as well as a welcome program and tours of the facility. Located at 2017 Net Way Northwest, the 38,000-square-foot, 1.5-story building built of structural steel, stucco and floor to ceiling glass will provide client services, member engagement, provider and broker partner services, along with career employment opportunities in the community. The new Delta Dental Operations and Technology Center makes the company a top-ten employer in the city. This high-tech facility also features 172 workstations, a fitness center, digital conference room facilities, a kitchen and a designated collaboration space, and is equipped with a special glass to decrease solar heat gain and boost the building’s overall energy efficiency.
“The Bemidji area is excellent for our new operations and technology center: we have already greatly benefitted by employing a highly talented and skilled management team. We have found Bemidji to be a very friendly and welcoming community. We are pleased to have the opportunity to recruit new team members from Bemidji’s distinguished education system. We have been impressed by our new business neighbors who have opened their arms to make sure our arrival is effortless,” said Rodney Young, Chief Executive Officer and President at Delta Dental of Minnesota.
“In addition, we are thrilled to have a physical presence to help contribute to some of the very important oral health and community health initiatives already underway. Our plan is to continue to seek new team members within the community in preparation for business expansion and growth. We are indeed proud to be here,” Young added.
The center seeks to employ team members in categories including administrative services, billing, human resources, customer service and technology support. Delta Dental of Minnesota team members enjoy competitive pay and excellent benefits including paid time off, retirement planning and access to the new on-site fitness center.
Since 2006, Delta Dental of Minnesota and the Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation have supported several nonprofits in the Bemidji area with more than $1.3 million in grants that provide oral health initiatives, including Northern Dental Access, the Boys & Girls Club, and Bemidji area schools. Delta Dental aims to support the communities where its employees, customers and dental partners live and work and where they can strengthen overall health through oral health.
“When we first found out that Delta Dental was coming to Bemidji, we were thrilled,” said Jeanne Edevold Larson, Northern Dental Access Center Executive Director. “I can say with great confidence that we would not be able to make this type of impact in our community without the support of Delta Dental of Minnesota and its foundation.”
Northern Dental Access Center serves more than 20,000 patients per year with important dental care.
