Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation Helps Bring New Clinic and Smiles to Wright County

Buffalo, MINN (08/19/2022) – Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation is joining the Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce, community leaders, and donors in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Wright County’s newest dental clinic, Community Dental Care Buffalo, on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m at the Wright County Government Center. A donation by Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation helped bring the new clinic to life.

“We believe everyone deserves a healthy smile,” says Joseph Lally, Executive Director of Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation. “With the opening of this new dental clinic in Buffalo, thousands of central Minnesota residents will have access to the care they need in order to make their smile shine brighter than ever.”

Community Dental Care is a non-profit with a mission to serve people who don’t easily have access to dental care. Each year, thousands of people end up in hospital emergency rooms where the cost of care is especially high and providers are not able to address dental concerns.

“We will serve the entire central Minnesota region, mostly people enrolled in Medicaid and the uninsured, but we will take all patients no matter what insurance they have,” says Karen Flanagan Kleinhans, CEO of Community Dental Care. “We look forward to serving people in need in the region with high-quality dental care for years to come.”

The Buffalo clinic will be the fifth in the Twin Cities and Rochester. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests will have the chance to tour the new dental clinic. It will create 22 local jobs for dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff. The 6,200 square-foot facility will include 12 dental operatories and, once fully staffed, will provide comprehensive dental services for 16,000 patient visits each year.
