Delta Dental of Minnesota Continues Commitment to DEI Remembering George Floyd

Donations in remembrance of George Floyd

MINNEAPOLIS (May 24, 2021) – In memory of the final nine minutes and twenty-nine seconds of George Floyd’s life, Delta Dental of Minnesota is making a $9,290 contribution to six organizations across Minnesota supporting people experiencing homelessness. In addition, Delta Dental will also donate 929 toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss to each organization in its continuing effort to promote the importance of good oral health.

Delta Dental of Minnesota CEO and President Rod Young said, “As a company based in Minneapolis, this tragic killing has had an undeniable impact on our community, our country, and our world. We are making donations to organizations that support the most vulnerable Minnesotans. In addition we are asking our team members to take nine minutes and twenty-nine seconds to reflect and remember Mr. Floyd.”
