Networks

Delta Dental PPO™ (Base Plan for Twin Cities/Duluth): In-network dentist only program

Delta Dental PPO™ (Base Plan for Twin Cities/Duluth) is an affordable, network-only plan, offering strong cost savings. This program is considered the base plan for many employees. Under this plan, you must visit a dentist participating in the Delta Dental PPO™ network to receive benefits. With the exception of out-of-area emergencies, benefits will be denied if you do not visit a Delta Dental PPO™ dentist. The Delta Dental PPO™ network includes over 1,800 participating dentists in 75 Minnesota counties. With a Delta Dental PPO™ dentist, your out-of-pocket costs may be reduced.

Confirm if your dentist is participating in the Delta Dental PPO™ network or consider if you are willing to change dental providers, prior to enrolling for this dental plan. Remember, this is an in-network dentist only program.

This program offers in-network dentist access to a select number of dentists at the following locations: Boynton Health Service, U of MN Faculty Practice, U of MN Dental Clinic. Please check our website for a list of PPO™ dentists at these locations.

NOTE: Not all dentists at these locations are contracted under Delta Dental PPO™. Please refer to the Dentist Search on this website or contact Customer Service for a complete listing of dentists at these locations.

Delta Dental Premier® (Base Plan for Greater Minnesota): Uses two networks (see network map)

Delta Dental Premier® is a flexible plan that offers access to the broad Delta Dental Premier® network as well as the more cost-effective Delta Dental PPO™ network. Out-of-network benefits are also available. The Delta Dental Premier® network is Minnesota's largest dental network - over 2,800 dentists in 87 Minnesota counties and border communities. The Delta Dental PPO™ network includes over 1,800 participating dentists in 75 Minnesota counties. Visiting a dentist in either of the Delta Dental networks will help you make the most of your benefits and can result in out-of-pocket cost savings. Choosing a dentist in the Delta Dental PPO™ network may result in greater cost savings. As an added convenience when you use a participating dentist, the dentist files the claim for you, and Delta Dental of Minnesota pays the dentist directly. This program offers in-network access to dentists at the following locations: Boynton Health Service, U of MN Faculty Practice, U of MN Dental Clinic.

Sign-in to the Member Portal

Delta Dental's Member Portal provides you with information including procedure details, deductibles and claim payment status. You can also order a new ID card and update your account information by visiting the Member Portal.

NOTE: Although in-network dentists will submit your claims for you, you may need to submit claims directly to Delta Dental of Minnesota if you visit an out-of-network dentist. Please find this address on our Contact Us page.
