MARKETING COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER 

This position has overall responsibility for coordinating both internal and external corporate strategic communications. Coordinate efforts among many departments including Sales and Marketing, Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation, Community and Regulatory Affairs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in Marketing or Communications with 5+ years of experience in the Advertising, Marketing and/or Corporate Communications arena
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the tenets of advertising, including direct to consumer and electronic messaging

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Marketing Communications Responsibilities

  • Manage website content updates including microsites and social media efforts
  • Develop marketing tools and collateral to communicate all media efforts internally as well as large group customers, brokers and dentists
  • Create newsletters and communications for employees, broker network, group customers and consumers
  • Create and maintain updated sales tools including sales brochures, PowerPoint presentations, event invitations, e-blasts

Public Relations Responsibilities

  • Work with department managers to develop strategies to promote the brand to separate key audiences including general business, regulatory, large group customers, community affairs, consumers, brokers and dentists
  • Create opportunities to raise awareness for the brand to help increase revenues, provide cost savings or dramatically improve oral health in communities

SALES/ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR

This position is responsible for providing project ownership and support to the Account Management Department and Vice President. The project outcomes are critical to internal reporting, management and supporting clients in a fast paced environment. This role requires the ability to manage multiple requests, ability to adapt to changes quickly, proficiency in Excel and excellent communication skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduate
  • One to three years of post-high school training
  • Three years of administrative assistant or similar office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high volume, dynamic environment in order to meet the needs of our internal staff and external customers
  • Focus on 100% accuracy and efficiency while performing a wide variety of tasks and willingness to acquire additional responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize workload

  • Ability to work overtime on an as-needed basis

SR EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 

The purpose of this position is to perform a wide variety of highly responsible, confidential and multifaceted duties to the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer & President of Delta Dental of Minnesota (DDMN) on all board activities for Dental Benefit Plans of Minnesota, Delta Dental of Minnesota, Delta Dental of Nebraska, and the Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation. This position supports all aspects of the planning and coordination of Board Meetings, Committee meetings, Annual Meetings and the Delta Forum throughout the year. Takes minutes for all meetings and prepares minutes for approval.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Five plus years administrative experience at the executive level required.
  • Administrative support training a plus and 3+ years of event and/or Board planning experience desirable.
  • A BA/BS in communication, hospitality industry/event planning, or comparable degree preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload and carry out multiple, complex projects with attention to detail.
  • Strong computer/word processing skills necessary to produce high quality work that is consistently thorough, professional, and accurate. Must take detailed notes. Shorthand a plus.
  • Proven ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with continual pressure of deadlines and multiple demands.
